Andromeda is a galaxy similar to our own, but much larger. Its diameter is approximately 200,000 light-years—twice that of the Milky Way—and it contains more than 300 billion stars. On moonless nights, it can be seen with the naked eye as a small, faint elliptical glow. However, through a telescope, its spectacular disk structure formed by countless stars becomes visible.
